{"id":938,"date":"2007-05-04T14:48:00","date_gmt":"2007-05-04T14:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mhgoldberg.com\/blog\/?p=938"},"modified":"2017-01-25T16:15:45","modified_gmt":"2017-01-25T21:15:45","slug":"why-wait-for-iphone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mhgoldberg.com\/blog\/?p=938","title":{"rendered":"Why wait for iPhone?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I just had a sneak peek at a new phone that is being custom developed for one of the Canadian cellular service providers for launch this summer.<\/p>\n<p>The phone features the Fastap keyboard from <a href=\"http:\/\/digitwireless.com\/\">Digit Wireless<\/a> and appears to be based on a <a href=\"http:\/\/digitwireless.com\/flash\/pdf\/d_series_joint.pdf\">phone introduced by ZTE<\/a> at CTIA in March.<\/p>\n<p>The prototype of the phone is loaded with every feature you can imagine: built-in GPS, camera with flash, FM radio, music player, mobile-TV, video player, memory expansion, EVDO, web browser, speakerphone.<\/p>\n<p>It is a flip phone form factor with mini-USB for connecting to your computer and charging.<\/p>\n<p>I understand that the phone is being tested now. Will it be in stores before the <a href=\"https:\/\/mhgoldberg.com\/blog\/?p=1103\">iPhone<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>Who says the Canadian market is too small for custom development?
