Pundits and politicians have made telecom competition an issue that stimulated advertising on our TV networks over the past year and figured prominently in the latest federal budget.<\/p>\n<p>So, in cooperation with the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University, <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/Cts14\" target=\"_blank\">The 2014 Canadian Telecom Summit<\/a> is going to examine &#8220;<em>Competition in Telecom<\/em>&#8221; through the eyes of some of the top telecom competition economists on the continent.<\/p>\n<p>Taking place on Monday June 16, the session will be moderated by Dvai Ghose of Canaccord Genuity and will feature:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Robert Crandall [Senior Fellow, Brookings Institute]<\/li>\n<li>John Mayo [Professor, Georgetown University]<\/li>\n<li>Eli Noam [Professor, Columbia University]<\/li>\n<li>Roger Ware [Professor, Queens University]<\/li>\n<li>Len Waverman [Dean, DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All of these economists have considerable expertise in the economics of telecommunications and have testified in regulatory and competition proceedings. It should be a fascinating session &#8211; entertaining\u00a0and\u00a0educational.<\/p>\n<p>One of the many sessions at <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/Cts14\" target=\"_blank\">The 2014 Canadian Telecom Summit<\/a>, taking place June 16-18 in Toronto. <\/p>\n<p>It is a new budget year.
