The report, less Annex 4 (Statistical tables of prices used to compute the ICT Price Basket), is available as an <a href=\"http:\/\/j.mp\/1hWsGAe\" target=\"_blank\">8.5MB pdf<\/a>. Be sure to watch for simplistic analysis that ignores examination of source data!<\/li>\n<li>Today, Akamai released its <a href=\"http:\/\/j.mp\/1hWtBjW\" target=\"_blank\">Second Quarter 2013 State of the Internet report<\/a> (4.8MB pdf) and <a href=\"http:\/\/j.mp\/1hWtNQa\" target=\"_blank\">Executive Summary<\/a> (2.7MB pdf). Among other information, it confirms the error in the CRTC&#8217;s Communications Monitoring Report that was <a href=\"http:\/\/j.mp\/1baW7xf\" target=\"_blank\">highlighted in this blog<\/a> a few weeks ago.<\/li>\n<li>Also today, as reported in the <a href=\"http:\/\/j.mp\/1hWu5GW\" target=\"_blank\">mainstream media<\/a>, we saw PCMag.com release its test of <a href=\"http:\/\/j.mp\/1hWuOYA\" target=\"_blank\">US<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/j.mp\/1hWuAkb\" target=\"_blank\">Canadian<\/a> wireless networks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p>Urban Canadians can get online fast, often at speeds that would make south-of-the-border Americans green with envy.<\/p>\n<p>The peak speeds delivered by the big three carrier&#8217;s new LTE networks are nothing short of breathtaking.
