{"id":4567,"date":"2011-03-21T06:06:26","date_gmt":"2011-03-21T10:06:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mhgoldberg.com\/blog\/?p=4567"},"modified":"2011-03-18T11:29:10","modified_gmt":"2011-03-18T15:29:10","slug":"playing-by-the-rules","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mhgoldberg.com\/blog\/?p=4567","title":{"rendered":"Playing by the rules"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There was an important footnote to the CRTC&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/e1UowS\" target=\"_blank\">revised process<\/a> for reviewing wholesale high speed internet billing.<\/p>\n<p>In Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/e1UowS\" target=\"_blank\">2011-77-1<\/a>, the Commission notes that this proceeding will fall under the <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/fqxnrN\" target=\"_blank\">new rules of procedure<\/a> that come into effect for proceedings with a public comment period after April 1. There is a footnote that reads:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Rules of Procedure set out, among other things, the rules for the filing, content, format and service of interventions and interrogatories, the procedure for filing confidential information and requesting its disclosure, and the conduct of the public hearing. Accordingly, the procedure set out in this notice must be read in conjunction with the Rules of Procedure and its accompanying documents, which can be found on the Commission\u2019s website under \u201cCRTC Rules of Practice and Procedure\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The filing of comments may be the most important point for individuals participating in a CRTC process for the first time.
